Stridsvagn 104

Hi again.

I just got done painting up these Peter Pig 15mm miniatures. They are from there AK47 range and are listed as Israeli Centurion Shot IDF. They were modified Centurion tanks and the Swedish called them Stridsvagn 104.

My first game of Seven Days to the River Rhine

Hi all, as the title of this posts says I played my first game of Seven Days to the River Rhine at the club recently. It was a fun game with East Germans vs West Germans in a meeting engagement scenario with about 500 points on each side.

I brought my tanks that I have painted up in 15mm and two of my T-72's made it to the table top.

The terrain, as you can see was not the best for tanks and APC's but it made for a challenging scenario. 

We had four objective on the board and they were consistently being contested by both sides. We had some Helicopter support in the form of a Mi-24 Hind and the West Germans had a B0-105. They did some good but they are not supper powerful since they can be fired at by the Infantry bases and dedicated AAA assets.

Overall I liked the way the game works and it is fun. The game ended in a draw as both sides controlled two objective markers and the points for destroyed forces was about equal. I will be playing in another game this evening at the club and I hope to have some more pictures of the action posted this week

What am I working on?

Hi everyone.

It has been a while since i posted but life is keeping me busy.

I wanted to start posting pictures of what I am currently working on since I do more painting then gaming in the last year. So what I will share are some things I am working on getting painted.

First up we have some 15mm civilian cars and a 15mm Attack Helicopter, both are for Seven Days to the River Rhine. The attack helicopter is a BO-105 which I will paint up in there Swedish colors since the Swedish had some of these with different missile systems. I will not modify the model itself to try and make the missiles look like the ones used by the Swedish forces.  The Swedish designation for the BO-105's is HKP 9A.

 

Next we have some Peter Pig 15mm metal tanks that I put together this weekend.  They are the modified Centurion tank with reactive armor. The Swedish had this design and they were called the Stridsvagn 104.

I hope to continue working on the Swedish miniatures for Seven Days to the River Rhine. I played a game this past week at the club and the rules are fun and I hope to put together a 500 points force of Swedish troops before painting up some Polish troops for the Cold War.

S-Tank (Stridsvagn 103C) for Seven Days to the River Rhine.

Hi everyone.

This weekend I sat down and painted up a platoon of S-tanks or Stridsvagan 103C as the Swedish called there unique tank.  These are 3d printed 15mm models that I purchased from Butlers Printed Models (BPM)

  The tanks painted up really well and I liked how they turned out. Now these are for use with Seven Days to the River Rhine set of rules that I have purchased. The rules do not come with data on the Swedish Army and equipment but they have a great community on Facebook and I asked what stats I should use for the Swedish S-Tank. The answer came from the author of the rules, Roger Gerrish.

He suggest the following stats for the S-Tank:
