Blog update!

Hi everyone!

I hope everyone is doing well! I am doing OK considering the job hunting is not going so well. I am still working on getting a job and I have signed up for an intensive Swedish language class to help me with my Swedish. Hopefully this will help make me more marketable. We will see, stay tuned for more on the job front.

On a more positive note I am back to painting my 15mm WWII Germans for Chain of Command. I am painting up the support options to be able to fight Operation Westwind, the breakout of the Konigsber Siege in 1945. This campaign is taken from the 2014 Summer Special published from Toofatlardies.  It outlines the campaign and the forces involved. I will be using this information along with the main rules of Charin of Command with At the Sharp End campaign rules supplement. I have about 80% of the German support options painted now and I have a few more specialist troops to paint up, and then it is on to the Russians!

So here is what I have painted since the last post.

Panther with Junior Leader

SdKfz 221 with Junior Leader

le.IG with five crew and a Junior Leader

Pak 40 anti‐tank gun with five crew and Junior Leader

Pak 43 anti‐tank gun, five crew with Junior Leader

So that is all the painting I have done. I have been doing some other things. I started my first batch of Mead two days ago. So far so good. I hope to get at least 4 litters of Mead from this first patch. I am hoping for a 12% alcohol content once it is all done. Stay tuned for updates on the mead.

I have also added a paint link finish to some of the hand stamped coins that I make and I like the effect that it adds to the pewter coins. It makes them look older. Check out the pictures below and let me know what you think.

    1. Thank you Joakim,

Yes, we can have a taste test at the club when the Mead is done brewing. For now, it continues to bubble as the yeast is doing its work on the sugar in the honey. I hope it comes out well! We will see.

    2. I'm looking forward to that, I might even bring some of our plum-wine (surprisingly good and strong)
      I won't take the car :-)

  3. Nice additions to your CoC project! I especially like your Panther. Your hand-stamped coins are nifty too!
