Hi all,
Well the other day I decided to swing by the local wargame shop and I picked up a box of Plastic Soldier Company's Tiger and Panzer IV tanks. These are 15 mm miniature tanks. I will be using them with the other members of the club in a number of games of Chain of Command. It will be the Eastern Front battles.
The models are very good and they go together quickly. I was able to build both tanks within two hours, so about one hour each.
I will make the rest, 4 tigers in total, and 5 Panzer IV's.
Once I have them painted up I will post some more pictures.
Thanks for swinging by and checking out my pictures.
Those look nice!
ReplyDeleteI picked up a bunch of the Zvezda 15mm tanks but I have not seen the PSC tanks. Do you have any of the Zvezda tanks with which to compare?
HI Jonathan! Thanks for stopping by and checking out the tanks, I use to build a lot of scale models when I was young so it is nice to build the models before I get to use them on the table. I have not tried the Zvezda models yet. I am sure I will as I build up more forces for games at the club. Now the hard part, trying to decide on the paint scheme for the tanks.
DeleteThese are great kits Mark - the details seem very crisp! I've seen some of Zvezda Russian tanks IRL - and I'd put those just a step under PSC in terms of sculpting, but in my opinion Zvezda is still a little better (and cheaper) than much of the resin stuff from FoW/BF. Looking forward to the painting versions - "vorwärts nach Moskau"!
ReplyDeleteThank you Soren, they were fun to build and there are a lot of options!!! I have been doing research on how to paint the tanks and I think I found a paint scheme that should work well on the tanks. I also look forward to getting them into battle. I will be joining Jesper and Ulf at the club tomorrow for my first game of Chain of Command.
