First game of What a Tanker

Hi everyone!

I received the digital copy of What a Tanker on Monday morning and I really liked what I read. I made plans to get in a test game and I was able to get to the club today and play a solo game. Many of the members of my local wargaming club are in London for Salute or not available on a Sunday afternoon. 

I was lucky to receive the hard copy rules and the tokens in the mail on Friday. That was pretty quick delivery to Sweden.

So Bottom Line Up Front! This is a fun game, easy to lean and fun to play. I think it is very good for solo play since the activation and the turn sequence works very well if you are playing along. 

Now my next goal is to paint up more tanks and get a game going at the club with other members of my local wargaming club.  Hopefully that will happen sometime in May.  We Will see!

Yes More tanks.......

This time in 3mm.  So I have been busy with work and life but I have had some time to get some more 3mm tanks painted up. These are the first American tanks I have painted and I chose the M3 Lee tank. this will be for North Africa once I get some more painted. I also have some Sherman's in 3mm to paint up as well.

I also had  a little vacation and my wife and I went to Helsinki, Finland. This is the second time me and my wife have visited Helsinki, the first time was in 1991, so some things have changed. We both liked being in the city and we are planning another ferry trip for the summer time.

German Tanks!

Hi all!

Sorry for not posting much lately but life has had me busy. I have been working on more tanks. You will see the pictures below of the PZ-38t’s that I have been working on. They are all done and ready to go for the upcoming release of What a Tanker. I have placed my pre-order for the rules. They have a bundle on sale so that is what I ordered. The rules will be both hard and soft copy and I will get the pack of markers that they are producing. 

I am currently working on painting up more PZ III’s and I have 5 T-34/76 or /85 tanks for the soviets that are also getting ready to be painted. I am looking forward to the new rules and I hope to be up and playing a game at the club sometime before the end of April. I should get the softcopy version of the rules on the 9^th of April.  Hopefully I can use some of the many tanks I have painted up over the last few years in this game.

What a Tanker preparation!

Hi all,

This week TooFatLardies announced there next game. It will be a WWII tank on tank game, this is something I am really looking forward too. As I already have a number of tanks for WWII in 15mm for my Chain of Command games, this new set of rules should be a great addition to my collection of rules and fun to play.

So in honor of this new set of rules, I built and painted up a Panzer III G.  It is a Plastic Soldiers Company plastic model and it was easy and fun to build and paint.  My goal is to build and paint up as many of the Plastic Soldier Company tanks that I have un-built.  I have more Panzer III's, Panzer IV's, Tigers, and T-34's that I can build.  I think that will be more than enough to run a few games at the club, since most of the boxes come with everything you need to build 5 tanks.

German Heavy Tank Comapany from early 1943, North Aftica

Hi all,

Well this weekend I finished up the Tiger I and Panzer III tanks to form an early Heavy tank company. In the early part of 1943, when the Tiger was first introduced they had a mix of Panzer III's as well as Tiger tanks. 

These are all 3mm tanks and I have started working on some Americans to face them.
